The start of the new cricket season will be a week later on Saturday 27 April due to the very wet start to the year.
It means Worsley's first XI will start their season at home to Bolton Deane & Derby CC while the second XI will travel to Clinton CC.
Both fixtures against Westleigh - due to take place on Saturday 20 April - will be moved to Sunday 7 July.
A GMCL statement said:
"There is no doubt that the very wet weather is having serious impact on the ability of clubs to prepare the ground for the coming season which is scheduled to start on Saturday 20 April.
"The Board have been trying to find the right solution that both protects the competition and takes into account the condition of the ground and we feel there isn't an easy answer.
"We do have a full fixture list on both Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season so finding a spare Sunday isn't easy but we do recognise that clubs do require a firm decision to enable them to plan and prepare.
"After much debate and too numerous to mention emails from clubs asking for a delay to the season, the Board have reached a decision on the start of the season 2024."
The 2024 season will now commence on Saturday 27 April which means the following:
The fixtures scheduled for Saturday 20 April will now be played on Sunday 7 July.
Sunday fixtures scheduled for Sunday 7 July will now be played on Saturday 21 September.
The Sunday fixtures scheduled for 21 April will be rearranged by the two clubs on a mutually agreed date. As with all Sunday fixtures the league does offer a degree of flexibility.
The junior fixtures scheduled for week commencing Sunday 21 April will be rearranged by the two clubs on a mutually agreed date. Junior cricket will commence on Sunday 28 April.
